I’ve always had a passion for events, whether it was planning birthday parties for friends in high school or surprising my parents with a 25th wedding anniversary celebration. That love for creating meaningful moments led me to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management with an emphasis in Events from Grand Valley State University. Anchors Up!

After graduation, I spent 15 years working on the venue side of the industry with some of West Michigan’s most well-known spaces, including the Frederik Meijer Gardens, DeVos Place, and the RedWater Events properties: Watermark, Thousand Oaks, StoneWater, Sunnybrook, Macatawa, and Boatwerks.

During my 8 years at Sunnybrook and RedWater, Décor Elegance quickly became my favorite décor vendor to recommend to brides. When the owner decided to step away from the business in 2017, I had the incredible opportunity to purchase it from her.

Today, I’ve taken the leap to focus fully on Décor Elegance and event decorating. It’s both exciting and a little terrifying—but most of all, it’s a dream come true to turn my passion into my career.
